Soul Space Retreats are an offering to frontline street health, community and social service workers who care for people experiencing poverty, homelessness, complex substance use and/or mental health issues in Ottawa. Day retreats offer time away (typically a Friday from 9am to 4pm) from the frontlines and a chance to connect with self, peers and nature through various offerings such as gentle yoga, mindful self-compassion (mindfulness/meditation), creative arts, forest therapy, healing touch (e.g., reiki).
Soul Space Day Retreats are held at various locations, including:
Tea, coffee, lunch and snacks are included. All meals are vegetarian, but please advise about food allergies & sensitivities during registration. Ride shares can be arranged for individuals in need of transportation to the retreat location.
Retreats can be booked by individual frontline street health, community and social service workers and organizations that employ frontline street health, community and social service workers. Organizations can register and send one or more frontline workers to a retreat, or can book an entire retreat for their team (up to 15 individuals, depending on location).
Cost: $275 per person* with upfront deposit of $50 to hold a spot
*Pay What You Can: We want to ensure that Soul Space retreats and workshop offerings are accessible to individual frontline workers, and that cost is not a barrier to participation. For individuals who need help to attend a retreat, contact us.

- Gaia Wellness Retreat Centre - located in Alcove, Quebec, approx. 45 minutes from Ottawa (209 Chemin Usher, Alcove, QC J0X 1A0)
- Misiwe Ni Relations Lodge - located in Manotick, Ontario, approx. 25 minutes from Ottawa (1249 Dozois Rd, Manotick, ON K4M 0E2)
